The Serpentine Gallery is housed in a small pavilion shaded by trees and holds regular exhibitions displaying a range of modern art. Admission to the gallery is free. They also have a bookshop selling a wide range of magazines and publications covering contemporary art and design.

The Royal College Of Music Museum Of First Instruments displays over 600 instruments dating back as far as to 1480, all of which chronicle the history of musical instruments. They are open during term time only. Please call for details.
Alexander Fleming Laboratory Museum is a reconstruction of the discovery of Penicillin in the actual laboratory where it happened. They also host an exhibition and an audio visual tour. Admission fees apply and concessions are available.

With over 300,000 objects in its care, The Science Museum narrates the extensive history of the Western world through science, technology and medicine. There are over 6 hands-on galleries catering for children from 8 months and upwards, an IMAX cinema, Virtual Voyages motion-ride simulator and a whole host of daytime events. 46 galleries are spread over seven floors including over 2000 hands-on exhibits to captivate and inspire all.
The Darwin Centre houses many precious collections chronicling the world of science and history. Last admission is at 5.30pm. Groups are warmly welcomed and catered for.
