City of London Libraries operates libraries and archives in the City of London

The St Bride Printing Library has world-famous collections on the history of printing and related subjects such as graphic design and reproduction, engraving, illustration, binding, calligraphy and lithography. They have printing machines dating back to the 1800s. They also offer a printing and typography service.
Marx Memorial Library stocks an extensive collection of books on Marxism and Socialism. They often hold lectures here, but it is advisable to phone for details in advance.
Holborn Library stock a wide variety of adult and children’s books on many topics as well as videos, CDs and cassettes. They also provide Internet access for members and a photocopier is available for all.
Finsbury Library has a wide range of books, videos, CD’s and DVD’s that are available for hire. Internet access and adult education computer software packages are also available upon request.
