With over 300,000 objects in its care, The Science Museum narrates the extensive history of the Western world through science, technology and medicine. You can see, touch and experience the major scientific advances of the last 300 years. There are over 6 hands-on galleries catering for children from 8 months and upwards, an IMAX cinema, Virtual Voyages motion-ride simulator and a whole host of daytime events. 46 galleries are spread over seven floors including over 2000 hands-on exhibits to captivate and inspire all.

Promoting the discovery and development of our Natural world, The Natural History Museum is the UK’s national museum of natural history as well as being a world renowned institution for scientific research. They host a range of collections including Botany, Entomology, Mineralogy, Palaeontology and Zoology. Last admission is at 5.30pm. Admission is free.
The Royal College Of Music Museum Of First Instruments displays over 600 instruments dating back as far as to 1480, all of which chronicle the history of musical instruments. They are open during term time only. Please call for details.
The Victoria & Albert is the world’s largest museum of decorative arts. It consists of more than 145 galleries housing 4 million objects, including national collections of sculpture, furniture, fashion and photography. Admission is free.
Popular with researchers, The Polish Institute & Sikorsi Museum exhibits a range of Polish history and culture during the times of World War II.
The Serpentine Gallery is housed in a small pavilion shaded by trees and holds regular exhibitions displaying a range of modern art. Admission to the gallery is free. They also have a bookshop selling a wide range of magazines and publications covering contemporary art and design.
Alexander Fleming Laboratory Museum is a reconstruction of the discovery of Penicillin in the actual laboratory where it happened. They also host an exhibition and an audio visual tour. Admission fees apply and concessions are available.
Pump House Gallery offers a year round programme of contemporary art exhibitions, event and family workshops. Hire is available for small events for up to 70 guests including product/press launches, weddings and drinks parties.
