A pub has stood on this site since the 16th century. The Cockpit takes its name from the fact that it used to be a major venue for gambling during cock fights. When cock fighting was outlawed in 1849, the pub’s name changed to the Three Castles but it has since been sympathetically refurbished with the old name and the old gallery both fully reinstated. The Cockpit also provides a range of entertainment including a big screen TV showing major sporting events on Sky TV.

Old Fountain is a pub serving traditional pub food for lunch and bar snacks in the evenings as well as a selection of real ales, beers, wines and spirits. Catering for private parties of up to 100 guests is available upon request and seating in the garden is available.

Royal Star is a pub that serves traditional pub grub as well as a variety of beers, wines and spirits. They show Sky Sports on a big screen TV and also have a darts board, pool tables and fruit machines. Seating on the pavement area is provided, weather permitting.

The Eagle is one of the first pubs to introduce a modern and creative menu which changes every day, and transforms into a high-end eatery. There are separate chefs in the lunch times and in the evenings and the service is very efficient. Latin and Reggae songs are played as background music. Seating on the pavement area is provided.
